Nervous, nervous, waiting for instruction from the choir director.
In our meeting with the principal, I chose choir over P.E. for Wynn. She was interested in P.E., but I thought (and still think) that "dressing down" would be too much for her. I also thought that choir might be good for vocabulary acquisition. She joined the choir just two weeks before the first scheduled choir concert. She was so nervous! I also insisted that she allow pictures while she was dressed up. Michael took her outside on the deck (no farther because it was snowing) and snapped several pictures, quickly letting let her off the hook. The whole "portrait session" took about 30 seconds, and we got some good pictures!
I think it's pretty funny that they sang "Do Wah Ditty," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and some other song described as an African chant. So much for vocabulary support!
The following morning, she went on her first field trip, also for choir.
