A Card From the Heart

Wynn made a card for me.  I'm told she spent about a day and a half on it and was very eager to give it to me.

The front says "For Mom,"  (and I just love that because she's never called me Mom.)

The back shows it's from Sweetheart (and endearment she has attached to herself*).

and the inside . . . 

. . . is lovingly filled with snakes!
They are even mounted on accordion-folded paper posts for 3D effects and motion.

I hate, despise, loathe snakes.

But I sure love this card!!!

*She had heard my mom call me "sweetheart," and apparently liked the sound of it.  I call the kids Sweetie, Honey, Angel, Beautiful, Angel, Hooligan, Goonie . . . but it seems I don't say Sweetheart.

Wynn first called me Sweetheart a couple of times, laughing and testing it out. Later, she was clarifying what she thinks each child's title should be.  "Your Baby Boy, your Funny Boy, your Cute Boy . . ."  

I said, "But Wynn, who are you?"

"Sweetheart!"

She didn't miss a beat.

So, Sweetheart, she is.
