I Don't Let Go So Easily!

On the evening of 3/27, Kathy (from our agency - worked with us to get all the papers ready so we could bring Ari home) called to see if we would consider being Wynn's family. She said she had been in church thinking about Wynn when she became convinced that we could make this work. She did warn us that there would be a lot of anxiety involved with the too-short timeline, and that it would come down to the wire, but if we were willing, she would do everything in her power to help. (Michael took one look at my face on the receiving end of that phone call and said, "It's Kathy, isn't it?" Later, he said, "I know my life's not in my control - a lot less stress that way!" There's a lesson to learn there.)

So . . . we jumped on the rollercoaster that is international adoption with 6 months and 3 days (2 days, China time) to finish everything and meet our daughter!
