I Guess a Time Machine Wouldn't Help After All

I had some teary eyes last night - not sad, but heartfelt - thinking about our Wynn in China when we first met her.

Last night, we were sitting on the futon, playing with the computer (shopping and facebooking), talking, and laughing.  We can communicate well enough that we can tease each other and laugh and each other.  We do nails together, and she has asked me to style her hair with a "new decoration."  Silly girl stuff.   :)

Then, I remember her scowl and her consistent resistance when we met her.   In those days, if I sat by her, she would get up and move to a different seat.  If we walked in a group (e.g. at the zoo or around Shamian Island), she would walk as far away as possible with as many people in between us as she could get.  I do not blame her at all, but if we could have told her - these people that you are adamantly avoiding - you are actually going to like!

Well, she'd have never believed us anyway.  :)
