The zoo was okay and the weather was hot. Most of the time there was shade. We got to see Panda bears which was cool. They also had a Rhinoceros and a very large elephant. Yes, all elephants are big. This one was exceptionally so.
The morning was courteous but stand-offish. Wynn stayed with the guide most of the tour. However, when we got back to the hotel she led us back to McDonalds and then followed us to 7-11 for snacks.
Updated by Lora: This afternoon, she asked if she could listen to CD's on my e-reader. She picked 2 CD's for herself when we at the shopping mall on Sunday. I had a hard time explaining to her that it isn't for music . . . but she was amenable to going shopping to find a music player. We took a taxi to an overwhelming electronics market and picked her up a pink mp3 player, which she then did not understand why it had no music on it. I've spent the evening ripping her CD's and putting them on her music player. Now, she's listening to her ear buds and turning the TV up so she can hear it over her music. Teenagers! She was watching a stupid clown/magic show. (Pierce would have worn his X buzzer out!) She was giggling and giggling. What a delightful sound and sight.
Yes, Andrew, we saw some counterfeit apple products, but not real cheap (over $100) and then would not be able to get apps from app store, so not the greatest purchases to consider. (We did not buy.)
