Worried for Wynn

We wondered when and how they tell Wynn that she has a new American family and is going to move to the USA. Online research and correspondence on adoption forums with other families who have adopted from Wynn's orphanage indicate that she will not be told at all until the very last hour. Also, it seems that there is only a very small possibility of a care package reaching her if we tried to send anything. Contact between orphanage ayis (aunties) or foster parents with adoptive parents is discouraged all over China, but it appears that it is even more tightly controlled with the Kunming CWI.

We are praying that somehow, Wynn will be prepared in the best way possible, and that God will guide us in how best to help her with this very hard, and apparently abrupt, transition that is coming.

  1. Really seems unfair that it will be a sudden shock that she has a family!I am praying for my new granddaughter every day and hope that she will be as happy as she will be scared. With the love of her new family to surround her, she will do fine! If God wills it that she should be our girl, He will also fill her heart.
She is really lovely! I can't wait to meet her!
